Kohima: Assam Rifles brought free medical services to Tsiepama Village on September 20. The force targeted remote areas to bridge gaps in local health access. They treated 122 residents during the one-day outreach effort. This group included 53 women, 51 men, and 18 children.
Patients received free consultations and medicine. The medical team offered direct health advice to every visitor. They also led educational sessions on nutrition, sanitation, and first aid. The doctors emphasized personal cleanliness to stop common illnesses before they start.
The unit wants to build trust with the community. Officials stated that the medical camp "reflected Assam Rifles’ commitment to supporting the local population through civic action initiatives." These programs aim to link soldiers with the people they serve. The force remains focused on boosting health awareness in these underserved regions.
