Kohima: Fazl Ali College hosted a research workshop in Mokokchung on Saturday. The college Research and Development Cell organized the event at the conference hall to boost academic writing standards for faculty and students alike. It was a busy day. Experts broke down the complex process of getting studies published.
Keynote speaker Bendangsenla, an Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator, pushed for more scholarly output. She urged the college community to embrace the rigor of professional writing. Vice Principal L.S. Vinod Kumar echoed this sentiment. He demanded higher levels of research production from the teaching staff.
Five faculty members led technical sessions throughout the day. E. Benrithung Patton explained the basics of scientific research. P. Tia Mollier detailed the role of empiricism. Adangla Changkija lectured on literature review methods. J. Limainla Ao taught participants how to craft effective abstracts and select keywords, while Jnanendra Sarma outlined the final steps for writing a formal report.
Attendees participated in a question and answer session following the presentations. Temjennaro Jamir offered closing remarks to wrap up the event. Assistant Professor Imwapangla Imsong served as the rapporteur for the proceedings. The college aims to build a stronger culture of inquiry, with Bendangsenla noting the importance of "teaching students research paper writing" as a primary goal for the institution.
