Kohima: The DB Job Fair 2026 drew 70 eager job seekers to Kuda Village, Half Nagarjan on August 1. Organizers AIDA and the Don Bosco Job Placement Network ran the event with the Salesian College of Higher Education. Support poured in from the District Employment Exchange, the National Career Service Centre for SC/ST Kohima, and the NCSC for Differently Abled. Partners also included Salesian Cooperators and DBYES Dimapur Province.
Candidates included fresh postgraduates, graduates, and skilled professionals. They sought roles across India and abroad. The day started with orientation on interview etiquette and employer expectations. Attendees had their eyes on jobs in telecommunications, insurance, and manufacturing.
Recruiters set up shop to meet talent. Talent Acquaintance, Reliance Jio, Flywayy Dimapur, and SBI Life Insurance conducted face-to-face interviews. Ohaa International School and Tolins Tyres Pvt. Ltd. opted for virtual sessions. The fair successfully pushed 36 applicants to the next recruitment stage.
Organizers stressed the event provided necessary industry exposure. It boosted confidence among the youth. Regional Coordinator Sebi Chacko thanked the hosts, noting, "The event also strengthened networking between employers, educational institutions and placement agencies, creating new avenues for future collaborations." The team expressed deep gratitude to Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Panii SDB for his support in hosting the drive.
