Guwahati: Dibrugarh Police tracked down and arrested two men in Kerala for their roles in a 50 lakh rupee scam. The case surfaced in Dibrugarh on August 10. A three-person police team flew to Kerala to hunt them down. They worked with local authorities to land the suspects.
The men are Suhail Palli and Azharuddin P. Both hail from the Malappuram district. Officers brought them back to Dibrugarh on transit remand. They face heavy questioning right now. The investigation is far from over.
Police believe this network spreads across several states. Investigators say the intel they gathered points to more arrests soon. "Information gathered during the probe could lead to further arrests," officials stated. Dibrugarh Police continue to search for other members of the ring.
