Kohima: Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh pulled the cover off the 50-year jubilee plaque for the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima Children Ministry on October 31. The ceremony took place on church grounds. This ministry started in 1976. The pastor thanked the pioneers for their hard work over the last five decades. He credited divine support for the milestone, stating, "through God blessings, we come upto this extent."
Prelou Mero chaired the event. Surhuveyi Tetseo sounded the jubilee trumpet. The main celebration begins November 1 at 10:00 AM under the theme Heritage of Hope. Speakers include Dr. Adela Mero, Administrator and Research Executive at the Rainbow Academy Resource Centre in Dimapur, and missionary Vekuthonu Perikala.
Rev. Khrotso Mero will release a souvenir during the morning service. Khruhizo Dozo will lead the morning session, and Er. Wekulhi Lohe handles the evening service. The church is running bus services starting at 8:00 AM. Pickups occur at Keyake Junction, BSF Camp Gate, Nphecha junction, Seikhazou, Kohima College, and Billy Graham/Youth Resource Junction. Additional routes include Kenuozou, Tinpati, Keziekie, High School Area, Alder College Junction, PHQ Junction, and Phoolbari.
