BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary Survives Highway Crash in Assam

Guwahati: Bodoland Territorial Council chief Hagrama Mohilary walked away from a highway wreck on September 15. A vehicle in his convoy crashed near Bartolowa under the Kajalgaon Police Station jurisdiction on National Highway 27. Mohilary survived the incident without a scratch.

The destroyed four-wheeler, registered as AS 16 P 1020, took the brunt of the impact. The accident occurred while the chief headed back to Kokrajhar. He had just finished an open meeting hosted by the Bongaigaon Refinery Employees Union. One person involved in the crash suffered injuries. Medics rushed the victim to a private hospital in Bongaigaon for treatment.

Officials have not released the official cause of the wreck. "Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the crash and the condition of the injured person are awaited," according to reports from the scene.
