BTC Chief Shuts Down Four Cattle Markets Amid Syndicate Allegations

Guwahati: Bodoland Territorial Council Chief Hagrama Mohilary ordered the immediate shutdown of four cattle markets in Kokrajhar district. The directive targets sites at Bhaoraguri, Haraphuta, Debitola, and Jaraguri. These markets recently reopened under BTC authority, but reports surfaced claiming an illegal syndicate took control of the trade.

Mohilary is not holding back. He warned that strict action awaits any MLA or Executive Member found connected to these rackets. "No public representative would be spared if found involved in the alleged activities," Mohilary stated. The administration is cutting off the markets to kill the syndicate's reach.
