Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu met with School Education Department officials at the Charaideo District Commissioner's office to confront a growing crisis. Floodwaters ravaged 110 schools throughout the district. The damage spans buildings, classrooms, furniture, and essential teaching materials.
Pegu pushed for immediate action to restore these sites. He wants a safe environment for students as soon as possible. The minister demanded a unified effort to fix the infrastructure. "Pegu emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to repair damaged infrastructure and minimise disruption to students' education in the flood-hit district."
Speed is the priority. Officials focused on getting academic activities back on track. They are auditing the wreckage now to jumpstart restoration work.
