Guwahati: Assam BJP leaders met in Guwahati to hammer out their battle plan for the Nagaon Lok Sabha bypoll and the Silchar Municipal Corporation elections. The extended state executive session brought together party MLAs and high-level officials to set the agenda for the next six months. The party also mapped out its Seva Sankalp programme, a month-long outreach drive running from September 17 to October 17.

Minister Ashok Singhal confirmed the primary goal is electoral success. He stated, "We will discuss plans to conduct these programmes effectively and work towards winning both elections." Alongside the polls, the party aims to boost its grassroots presence through various service-oriented initiatives.

MLA Pulak Gohain noted that the meeting focused on specific activities for the Seva Sankalp campaign. According to MLA Pallab Lochan Das, the effort aims to connect with residents. "We will engage with people, understand people's problems and work together to address them," Das said. Minister Pijush Hazarika emphasized the routine nature of the gathering, noting that the party holds these executive meetings regularly to guide organizational strategy.
