Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu celebrated a historic win for local sports on July 24. He congratulated Monyul FC for securing the title in the inaugural Arunachal Women’s League 2026. The team took the trophy after a high-stakes tournament designed to boost female participation in the state. The Chief Minister praised the players, staff, and support personnel for their hard work.
Khandu shared his excitement regarding the win on X. "Congratulations to Monyul FC on being crowned the Champions of the Inaugural Arunachal Women’s League 2026! By lifting the first-ever Arunachal Women’s League trophy, you have etched your names in history," he said. He expects this victory to draw more young women into the sport.
The Chief Minister shifted focus to national security and service on July 25. He commended the Indian Army for the Shaurya Sambandh Veterans Outreach initiative. The SpearHead Division of the Spear Corps organized the event in Tuting. The program provided support for veterans, Veer Naris, and Veer Matas in a remote border region.
Khandu noted that a nation proves its strength by standing with those who served. The project aims to ensure these individuals receive ongoing care and dignity. He believes these events bridge the gap between local communities and the armed forces. It remains a push to honor those who held the line.
