Monyul FC Claims First Arunachal Women’s Football Title

Itanagar: Monyul FC secured the inaugural Arunachal Women’s League trophy on July 24. They made history. The win marks a new chapter for sports in the region.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to X to toast the team’s success. He singled out the players, coaches, and support staff for their hard work. He said, "Congratulations to Monyul FC on being crowned the Champions of the Inaugural Arunachal Women’s League 2026! By lifting the first-ever Arunachal Women’s League trophy, you have etched your names in history."

Khandu views this win as a massive milestone for local women’s football. He expects the success to draw more young athletes to the pitch. The league provides a stage for rising talent to prove themselves. "May this be the beginning of many more victories, and may women’s football in Arunachal Pradesh continue to scale greater heights," the Chief Minister noted.
