Agartala: Tripura is moving to bring app-based cab services to its biggest transport hubs. Officials met Friday at the Civil Secretariat to debate the plan. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury led the high-level talks. They focused on Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala Railway Station, and Jogendranagar Railway Station.

The goal is a tech-driven transport network. It must be safe and reliable for commuters. Attendees included the Inspector General of Law and Order, the West Tripura District Magistrate, and the Superintendents of Police for West Tripura and Traffic. They sat down with transport union reps to iron out the logistics of how these services will run.

Chowdhury wants a modern, transparent system for the state. He expects the project to succeed through collaboration. As he stated during the meeting, "The government is committed to implementing the initiative through constructive cooperation and feedback from all stakeholders." Officials plan to keep pushing for transport modernization to boost public convenience and state development.
