Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha passed a sacred Kalas to BJP district leaders this Tuesday. The vessel holds soil from the Varanasi birthplace of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. It marks the saint’s 650th birth anniversary. The ceremony took place at the Sri Sri Ramakrishna Saradeshwari Math on Akhaura Road in Agartala.

Devotees gathered for the event. Organizers held a Shiv Rudrabhishek and a Maha Yajna at the site. The Chief Minister officially kicked off the Sampriti Sankalp Abhiyan during the proceedings. He wants the mission to reach every part of the state. The campaign promotes equality, social justice, and service to humanity.

Saha believes the teachings remain relevant today. He said, "The ideals of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji continue to inspire society to uphold equality, fraternity, and the welfare of humanity." The Chief Minister urged followers to pass these values to the next generation. Several BJP leaders and local personalities attended the ritual along with a crowd of followers.
