Advisor Khamo Pushes for Completion of Nagaland Administrative Projects

Kohima: Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division Kudecho Khamo toured construction sites across Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland on October 12. He brought along Assistant Chief Engineer Ketuoselie Kenguruse and a crew of CAWD officials to check the progress on vital government infrastructure.

In Chümoukedima, the team met with Deputy Commissioner Polan John to inspect a flat-type C quarter for administrative officers in Medziphema. Workers broke ground in May 2026, and the project has a 24-month build window. They also stopped by the new circuit house currently under construction in Chümoukedima.

Work drags in Dimapur. The G+2 office building at the Deputy Commissioner’s complex suffered a seven-month delay after crews had to dismantle the old structure. Officials originally planned for a 24-month timeline starting November 7, 2025.

The team also visited Niuland. Deputy Commissioner T.L. Kiusumong Tikhir joined the inspection of the G+3 office complex, a project funded by the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme.

Khamo leaned on the contractors to pick up the pace. He warned that delays stall the entire district administration. During the visit, Khamo stated: "Timely completion of administrative infrastructure was essential for effective governance and better public service delivery." He expects the teams to hit their targets so officers can get to work.
