Kohima: Assistant Chief Engineer Sungtiba Amer led a team from the Civil Administration Works Division to inspect construction sites for Deputy Commissioner offices in Dimapur and Niuland on Friday. The group included administrative officers, project engineers, and contractor representatives. Work is moving forward on schedule.
The Dimapur site features a G+2 design. Construction officially kicked off after crews tore down the old building, resulting in a seven-month extension to the original 24-month timeline that started November 7, 2025. Amer told the team, "The project was progressing satisfactorily and underscored the need to maintain quality workmanship throughout the construction period."
Niuland is building a G+3 facility under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme. Construction began in 2024. Deputy Commissioner T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir joined the inspection team to review the site progress. Amer ordered the contractor to meet all deadlines and quality benchmarks.
The state government continues to fund regional infrastructure projects. Amer thanked Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for the financial support. This backing covers administrative buildings in Tuensang, Noklak, Shamator, Wokha, Tseminyu, Meluri, and Zunheboto.
