Agartala: Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee handed out bicycles to girl students at Khudiram Bose English Medium School on Friday. School officials hosted the event to help young women gain independence and keep them in class. The bikes fix a major transport barrier for families.
Bhattacharjee praised the effort during the ceremony. He told the crowd, "These bicycles will help the girls move forward independently and fulfil their dreams of education." He also called the program a commendable step for young women. Teachers, parents, and students watched as the gear changed hands.
The MP emphasized the long term value of the gift. He noted that today's cycle leads to tomorrow's bright future. The school hopes this mobility tool ensures students continue their studies without interruption.
