Kohima: The PWD/Supply Sumi Students' Union held its inaugural Felicitation Programme-cum-Career Guidance Session at the E Space Conference Hall in Dimapur. The event, themed Navigate, Aspire, Achieve, sought to honor academic excellence while equipping young people with the mentorship needed to navigate their professional futures.
Union President Tova Kiba opened the event with a welcome address before the ceremony transitioned into a celebration of meritorious students. During the proceedings, advisor Mughato Swu emphasized the value of creating supportive platforms that nurture talent and align individual abilities with career opportunities.
Keynote speaker Dr. Khekuto Kiho, an Assistant Director and Geologist for the Government of Nagaland, shared personal insights from his career. He urged attendees to maintain discipline, stating, "remain focused, develop their skills, embrace learning opportunities and pursue their goals with discipline and determination."
Following the keynote, Mahendra's Coaching Centre provided a comprehensive career guidance session. The experts covered competitive examination strategies, emerging market opportunities, and various professional pathways available to the students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from General Secretary K Vinika Achumi and a final benediction by Obed Muru.
