Agartala: Labour Minister Tinku Roy launched the Digital Labour Chowk App, also known as Tripura Shramik Chattwar, this past Friday. The state aims to modernize worker welfare. This new tool streamlines service delivery while cutting out red tape. Workers can now access scheme information and lodge grievances directly through their phones.

Roy insists the platform makes administration faster. "This platform will strengthen our ability to serve workers efficiently and transparently. In the coming days, it will play an even more effective role in safeguarding their rights and welfare," Roy said at the event. The Labour Department used the launch to review its current programs and map out future digital expansions.

Officials expect the app to minimize bureaucratic delays. It acts as a one-stop hub for labor rights. The state government hopes this tech upgrade will provide better accountability for every registered worker.
