Agartala: The Ramakrishna Mission opened a new foreign language training center in Agartala on Friday. Located on Gangail Road, the facility functions as the Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages and Centre for Human Excellence. The project marks a collaboration with the Tripura Department of Skill Development. Students can now sign up for instruction in German, Spanish, French, Japanese, and English.

Prabananda Sarkar Banerjee, an official from the Chief Minister's office, attended the launch alongside Director of Skill Development Pradeep K. Swami Shuvankarananda led the event, noting the potential for regional expansion. He highlighted that centers in Kolkata and Hyderabad already train tens of thousands of students annually. "The initiative would provide people in Tripura an opportunity to connect with the wider world," said Sabujkali Sen, principal of the Kolkata branch.

Sen noted that the Kolkata campus teaches 21 languages, with Hebrew and Dutch coming soon. She expects these new skills to land students better jobs. Pradeep K called the project a first for the Northeast. The state government plans to use the center to boost employment in tourism and global trade. Officials believe the training will bolster both personal development and career prospects for Tripura's youth.
