Guwahati: Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia tapped Purabi Roy to lead the party's women's wing. Roy now serves as the president of the Assam Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha. She steps into a role centered on party outreach and political mobilization.
The organization coordinates the party's various political and organizational programs across the state. Saikia confirmed the move to install Roy as the top official for the women's branch. She will steer all daily operations and work to build the party's base among women. Regarding her new responsibilities, the party stated that "she will lead the organisation's activities among women and oversee its work across the state."
