Kohima: Pfutsero Town Business Association and the Pfutsero Town Mothers Association hosted a seminar at Pioneer Complex on June 27. The event focused on protecting women and maintaining dignity in the workplace. Leaders pushed for a safe environment across Phek.
Phek Superintendent of Police Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra warned of growing online dangers. She listed deepfakes, stalking, and doxxing as major threats to the community. "Every woman deserves dignity, equal opportunity and safety," she told the crowd. She urged parents to keep a close watch on their children.
Sekhotso Rokha of the Phek District Legal Services Authority detailed laws covering domestic violence and sexual harassment. He noted that alcohol abuse fuels much of the domestic violence cases in the region. Rokha also reminded families that child marriages carry heavy legal penalties.
The session ended with an interactive talk between experts and locals. PTBA president Vekusu Chuzho thanked the church and community groups for their participation in the safety initiative.
