Kohima: NPP President Conrad K Sangma shook up his Nagaland unit on Wednesday. He formed a five-member Interim State Committee to manage daily party operations. This group will report directly to the National Working President and the party headquarters. They act until the leadership picks a permanent State President.
Chuba Jamir, James Vizo, Audrey Jamir, Eje Wangnyu Konyak, and Er H Khumtimong Sangtam from the NPYF make up the new committee. The official order states they will "discharge such responsibilities as may be assigned by the National Working President or the National Headquarters from time to time."
Big changes hit the legislative wing too. A Nyamnyei Konyak, an MLA, now leads the NPP Legislature Party in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. He replaces Nuklutoshi, who lost the post immediately. Sangma says these moves aim to tighten the party structure. Every member must back the new leaders now.
