NPF Defends Pungro-Kiphire Road Progress Amid Public Criticism

Kohima: The Naga People’s Front blamed a land survey for slow road construction in the 60 Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency. Road work stalled. The District Administration is currently conducting a damage land acquisition survey and assessment. This process blocks full reconstruction within Pungro Town.

The NPF responded to a viral video by Amongla Sangtam. Sangtam questioned the local infrastructure and the performance of Advisor S. Kiusumew Yimkhiung. The party acknowledged the right to dissent but urged people to verify facts before posting. NPF officials stated, "Constructive criticism is always welcome, as it strengthens accountability and good governance."

Minor maintenance work continues. The Yimkhiung Youth Organisation, Likimro Enterprise, and the Border Roads Organisation are patching up critical sections. The party defended the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio. They maintain that the constituency will see meaningful and sustainable development under the current administration.
