Kiphire Officials Meet to Enforce Solid Waste Mandates

Kohima: Kiphire officials gathered at the DPDB Hall on August 27 to address waste management. They met to enforce the Solid Waste Management Rules of 2026. The session also monitored key project indicators. This meeting followed the Supreme Court Civil Appeal No. 6174/2023.

Deputy Commissioner Temsuwati Longkumer chaired the session. All concerned members attended the proceedings. Participants reviewed departmental progress and submitted status reports. They checked documents to ensure they met all judicial directives.

The group worked to strengthen current implementation measures. They identified specific courses of action to keep the district in line with national law. The government report stated the meeting focused on "strengthening implementation measures, reviewing departmental progress and identifying necessary courses of action to ensure compliance with the mandated rules and judicial directives."
