Kohima: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer in Nagaland added 38 new polling stations across the state's 60 Assembly Constituencies. This move follows the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll. Booth Level Officers performed house-to-house checks to find stations serving over 1,200 voters. District Election Officers consulted political parties before the Election Commission of India granted formal approval. Nagaland now hosts 2,399 total polling stations.
Nagaland Police launched an upgraded digital portal and mobile application for landlord-tenant registration. Users can access the system at tenant.police-nagaland.com or download the app via the official police website. Officials confirmed that previous records remain intact and migrated to the new system. "Stakeholders have been requested to download the new tenant app and register for any new data submissions," the police stated.
In a separate update, the NSCN-K (Niki) recovered a passenger auto-rickshaw. The vehicle carries registration number NL 07 F 7403, chassis number MD2A23AZ5DWF46497, and engine number ZHZDWF53960. The owner must contact 8413825947 with valid proof of ownership within seven days to retrieve it.
