Nagaland Gorkha Association Donates Rs 1.80 Lakh to Mon Disaster Victims

Kohima: The Nagaland Gorkha Association handed over Rs 1.80 lakh to the Konyak Union Kohima this Saturday. The cash marks a relief effort for victims of the disaster in Mon. The groups met at the Gorkha Public Panchayat Office in Kohima. NGA members pooled this money from federating units across the state.

NGA President Nobin Pradhan presented the funds to Khongjah Konyak, president of the Konyak Union Kohima. Both leaders addressed the crowd during the ceremony. The event was chaired by NGA General Secretary PK Thapa. Santu Thapa, president of the Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima, welcomed the attendees. Samir Thapa, general secretary of the Chandmari Gorkha Union, handled the vote of thanks.

Pradhan noted the effort in a press release. "The relief fund was collected by the NGA from its federating units across Nagaland specifically for the victims of the Mon disaster."
