Kohima: The All Nagaland Child Development Project Officer's Association (ANCDPOA) gathered at Highland Park in Kohima on June 19 for its 30th annual general meeting. Held under the motto Unity, Dexterity and Service, the event brought together officials to discuss their ongoing commitment to child welfare through the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) mission.
Tosheli Zhimomi, Director of the Department of Social Welfare, served as the special guest for the occasion. She praised the officers for their dedication and resilience while navigating professional obstacles. Zhimomi emphasized that their efforts provide hope for children and adolescents, noting that “we are all working under a mission (ICDs) for the children who are the future of the nation and.”
Addressing the evolving professional landscape, Zhimomi highlighted the importance of integrating technology into their daily operations. She encouraged the attendees to utilize the mission app to improve monitoring mechanisms and foster community involvement. She stated that officers must innovate to ensure that every Anganwadi center functions as a vibrant hub for early learning.
ANCDPOA president L. Nikuto Chishi credited the organization's success to its strong foundation and the collaborative spirit of its members. The meeting was moderated by General Secretary Meyalemla Ao, with opening prayers led by Vice President R. Chirhotshu Nyusou. Chotangse Sangtam, the CDPO of Tening, concluded the event by delivering a vote of thanks.
