Kohima: The Nagaland Bar Association will keep blocking the Advocate General from court appearances. Lawyers will ignore him in both physical and virtual settings. This decision follows a formal vote during an executive committee meeting held on September 18, 2026. The move keeps the pressure on, building off an initial resolution passed on June 8, 2026.
NBA Joint Secretary Akum Pongen released the update today. The committee praised local lawyers for successfully enforcing the protest during the September 15 session at the Kohima Bench of the Gauhati High Court. The association confirmed their stance in Resolution No. 2/18.09.2026. As the NBA noted in their official statement, they want the boycott observed for all future appearances.
