Kohima: More than 1,000 people packed the Agri-Expo ground in Chumoukedima to demand an end to the prolonged political stalemate in Nagaland. The rally, organized by the group Fed Up Nagas, focused on the failure to implement the 2015 Framework Agreement and the 2017 Agreed Position. The crowd chanted slogans against political delays.

Key Naga Political Group representatives from the NSCN (I-M) and GPRN/NSCN skipped the event despite earlier promises to attend. Organizers slammed this last-minute absence as a failure of leadership. WC, NNPGs convener N. Kitovi Zhimomi was the only group representative to show up.

Fed Up Nagas member Hiketo Naga challenged the absent leaders to prove their commitment. He warned that the youth were losing patience with the status quo. Hiketo told the crowd: "Who did not turn up today, and who did not support us today, the Naga people know very well."

Zhimomi linked the lack of a political settlement directly to the state's stagnant economy and high unemployment. He noted that investors avoid Nagaland due to ongoing underground activity. He quipped, "Amur Falcons have left Nagaland. But unemployment has not."

The rally ended with the presentation of a 10-point charter of demands addressed to the central government. Youth leaders pledged to keep pushing until they see results.
