Kohima: The Naga Students Federation launched a massive tree-planting drive at Molungyimsen village on June 26. They harvested seeds from a 148-year-old litchi tree planted by Rev. Dr. Clark. These seeds will become saplings for every Naga village. The project marks the upcoming 150-year anniversary of formal education in the region.
NSF leaders also kicked off the Powered 60 project to help poor students. This initiative funds UPSC coaching for one aspirant from every assembly constituency in Nagaland. Federation president Mteisuding stated the plan aims to "empower deserving youth and nurture future leaders."
The group visited Molungkimong village later that day. They held a prayer fellowship with local leaders at the site where the first Naga Christians were baptised. Leaders urged the community to stop being divided. They plan to spend the coming years honoring the missionaries and educators who shaped the society.
