Shillong: Two Meghalaya judokas hauled in hardware at the 70th National School Games 2026-27 Under-14 Boys and Girls Judo Championship. The event took place at the Thyagraj Sports Complex in New Delhi between October 23 and October 28. Marbashisha Kharkylliang walked away with a silver medal. Larika Kharkylliang grabbed the bronze.

The Meghalaya Judo Association praised the duo for their grit. They pointed to the athletes' hard work, discipline, and dedication as the main drivers for this success. The group also gave a nod to coach Jonathan Lalrinsanga for his guidance during the week-long tournament.

Officials extended thanks to the parents and staff who backed the team throughout their training. The association remains focused on their mission. They told the public they remain committed to "promoting judo at the grassroots level and developing young talent to compete at national and international tournaments."
