Shillong: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) set the 2026-27 Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam schedule for December. Testing runs from December 4 through December 16. Students sit for exams between 10 am and 1 pm. Doors open at 9:30 am.
Students get question papers at 9:45 am and scripts at 9:50 am. The clock starts at 10 am. English kicks off the cycle on December 4. Science follows on December 7. Students take Indian Languages or Additional English on December 9. Health, Physical Education, Computer Science, or vocational subjects follow on December 11. Social Science takes place December 14. Mathematics concludes the series on December 16.
Offered languages include Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu, and Mizo. Vocational options cover Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Health Care, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparels, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking, and Automobile Repair. Theory papers for these vocational subjects last exactly one hour. The board warned that the program could shift if necessary. MBoSE noted, "The programme may be recast if unforeseen exigencies or important state or central announcements fall on the same dates."
The board previously finished the 2026 cycle between January 30 and February 11. Results dropped April 7. Supplementary exams occurred in May. Meanwhile, officials expect the CM IMPACT Guidebook to hit schools this week. Copies already moved to district headquarters.
