Meghalaya Education Board warns of CM IMPACT guidebook scam

Shillong: The Meghalaya Board of School Education issued a sharp warning on August 11 regarding a scam targeting students and parents. A fraudulent advertisement recently hit Facebook, claiming to sell the CM IMPACT guidebook for 1,899 rupees through a fake entity called the MBOSE BOOK STORE. The board wants this stopped.

MBoSE Director McDonald Marbaniang confirmed the board holds no ties to the page or the online shop. The state government supplies these learning materials to students at zero cost. Marbaniang stated, “There is no authorised online sale of the CM IMPACT guidebook. The advertisement is fake.”

Officials are telling the public to ignore these social media offers entirely. Parents should stick to official government channels to secure their materials. Verify everything. Do not let these thieves trick you.
