Imphal: Manipur Police arrested 46-year-old Imliakum Longkumer on August 13. The arrest occurred during a routine frisking operation in the Senapati district. Officers stopped the man near Khongnem Thana village under the jurisdiction of the Senapati Police Station.

The search turned up 37 soap cases loaded with suspected drugs. The haul weighed 446 grams. Longkumer calls Longa village in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland home. Investigators also impounded a Bolero four-wheeler found at the scene. Authorities believe the vehicle played a role in the transport of the contraband.

Police have taken the suspect and the seized goods into custody. Detectives are now working to identify where the drugs came from and where they were headed. As the department confirmed, "further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended destination of the suspected contraband."
