Imphal: Electoral Roll Observer Mohan Lal Meena tightened the screws on Pherzawl district election officials on August 25. He demanded a clean, inclusive electoral roll. The state government secretary chaired a review meeting at the District Election Office to track the Special Intensive Revision. Pherzawl sits on the border of Assam, Mizoram, and Myanmar. The stakes remain high.

Meena checked application files to ensure total transparency. He warned staff to stop harassing citizens over minor document gaps during the revision. He insisted that workers help residents meet deadlines rather than creating roadblocks. Meena stated, "No eligible voter should be excluded from the revision exercise."

Deputy Commissioner Anunay Anand hosted the session. ERO and AEROs from the 55-Tipaimukh and 56-Thanlon Assembly constituencies sat in. ADC and ERO Zousanglur Joute presented the current revision progress. Superintendent of Police T. Lalboi Haokip joined other district officers at the table. Meena listened to their complaints and promised follow-up action.

The observer also met with local political party leaders. He pushed for active cooperation to maintain accuracy across the district. He told representatives to appoint Booth Level Assistants to handle public complaints. These parties pledged to support the process.
