Imphal: The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) reported a coordinated armed assault on Teikhang and Lenglong villages in Noney district on Wednesday. The group claims the destruction began around 2 pm. They point the finger at NSCN (Muivah) and ZUF-K cadres for the arson and chaos. These groups allegedly target Kuki-Zo settlements to push for the Greater Nagalim agenda.

The organization views the violence as a push to displace residents and shift regional demographics. No independent source has verified these claims. The state government remains silent, failing to answer charges that it abandoned its security duties. KIM calls this a total breakdown of law and order.

KIM wants federal intervention now. The apex body demands an immediate investigation and tougher security for frontier villages. They believe the state government cannot handle the heat. Consequently, they are pushing harder for a formal political change.

"The latest incident reinforced its call for a Separate Administration with Union Territory status for the Kuki-Zo people under the Constitution," the organization stated. They argue this status is the only way to keep their community safe. The group urged media outlets to watch the area as they wait for a response from the accused militants and the state government.
