Nagaland Startups Can Apply for Rs 50 Lakh MeitY Funding

Kohima: YouthNet is hunting for Nagaland-based tech startups to join the MeitY GENESIS Matching Investment 2.0 Programme. Backed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and MeitY Startup Hub, the scheme offers up to Rs 50 lakh in matching equity-based funding. Cash is tight. This program helps companies scale.

The deal operates on a 1:1 basis. Startups must secure outside capital from qualifying venture funds or angel investors, including SEBI-registered entities, to unlock the match. The program targets tech sectors like AI, deep tech, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, fintech, edtech, and health-tech. It also covers entrepreneur-in-residence and pilot funding support.

Applicants must be DPIIT-recognized private limited companies based in Tier-II or Tier-III cities. They need a market-ready product and proof of traction. Previous participants of TIDE 2.0, MeitY EiR, or SAMRIDH cannot apply. The window is wide. Applications stay open until September 24, 2026.
