Governor Yadav Tours NIELIT Kohima, Launches Two Local Startups

Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav inspected the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology in Kohima on August 20, 2026. He arrived to review facility infrastructure and meet with local tech teams. The Governor walked through the Academic Block and checked the Cyber Forensic R&D Lab. He wanted to see the research work happening on the ground.

During the visit, Yadav launched two startups named Kora and Zodmo Technologies. Zodmo Technologies operates an online marketplace for residents to buy, sell, rent, and find local goods or services. Officials from the Raj Bhavan PRO confirmed the launch occurred during the tour. The Governor spoke about the need for young people to use technology to drive inclusive growth across the state.

Staff briefed Yadav on current NIELIT initiatives focused on digital skills, innovation, and capacity building. He examined how the institute advances digital literacy and supports state technological development. According to the official report, the visit served to highlight the importance of "encouraging young entrepreneurs to harness technology for inclusive growth."
