Immanuel College hosts seminar on practical AI skills for students

Kohima: Immanuel College in Dimapur teamed up with the organization Instudia on June 20 to host a seminar centered on the practical use of artificial intelligence. The event aimed to prepare students for the modern workforce by demonstrating how to use emerging technology both responsibly and effectively.

Director of Instudia, Daniel Changkija, highlighted that artificial intelligence has moved beyond theory and is now a critical component of daily life. He noted that mastering these tools can help students in Dimapur increase their efficiency and gain a competitive edge in global professional markets.

Technical expert Vishal Bardewa led sessions covering various ways to integrate AI into daily workflows. He showcased how students can use these tools to automate mundane tasks, manage personal schedules, gather data for research, and tackle complex problem solving. Emphasizing the role of technology as a supportive partner, Bardewa said, "AI should complement rather than replace human intelligence and creativity, serving as a tool to enhance human capability and productivity."

The session ended with an open dialogue between faculty and students. Participants explored the broader implications of this technology, specifically addressing concerns regarding data privacy, professional ethics, and the future of career paths within an increasingly digital landscape.
