Hajo Police Arrest Suspect in Illegal Teer Gambling Crackdown

Guwahati: Hajo police detained Manoranjan Das, known locally as Munu, during a raid on illegal Teer gambling operations. The suspect lives in Kaibartatola. Officers swooped in and grabbed the man before hauling him back to Hajo Police Station.

Police found gambling materials and Rs 1,930 in cash on Das during the bust. He is facing tough questioning right now. Investigators are currently examining every piece of evidence seized from the scene to determine the full scope of his operation.

The department is working to clean up the area. Officials state, "The operation comes as part of police efforts to curb illegal gambling and betting-related activities in the area." Detectives are now digging into whether other people helped Das run his illegal book.
