Guwahati: Two Indian airport terminals operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited have earned a spot on the prestigious Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airports list for 2026. The recognition highlights the architectural excellence and sustainable design of the new Terminal 2 at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati and the Terminal 1 at Navi Mumbai International Airport.
The annual Prix Versailles awards, which are presented at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, evaluate airports based on innovation, design, and passenger-focused planning. Navi Mumbai's facility was selected for its lotus-inspired aesthetic that blends technology and functionality. Meanwhile, the Guwahati terminal was celebrated for its Bamboo Orchid design, which serves as a tribute to the region's biodiversity.
A spokesperson for Adani Airport Holdings stated, "We are honoured to see our airports recognised globally and remain committed to delivering world-class experiences that position India among leading aviation markets." The company noted that the inclusion of these projects validates their ongoing focus on infrastructure that prioritizes both sustainability and operational efficiency.
These Indian terminals join an elite international selection that includes major transit hubs in Guangzhou, Frankfurt, Pittsburgh, and San Diego. Later this year, the Prix Versailles committee plans to select three airports from this list to receive special World Titles.
