Dimapur Lions Club Makes Hunger Relief a Permanent Monthly Mission

Kohima: The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite is turning its hunger relief efforts into a permanent monthly fixture. The move follows the completion of 12 successful food drives under the Sarv Jeev Sewa initiative during the last Lionistic Year. Club leaders expect to maintain this pace indefinitely.

President Lion Meena Jain and chairperson Lion Prity Jain led the project across Dimapur and surrounding areas. Teams handed out cooked meals and dry rations to local families, children, and daily wage workers. They also extended support to the Mother Teresa Old Age Home, the Deaf Biblical School for the Deaf, and various religious sites including the local Gurudwara and temples. They even fed stray animals.

PRO and editor Sakshi Jain Binaykia stated the effort aims to provide nutritious meals to the vulnerable. She said the initiative serves as a "testament to the spirit of compassion and humanitarian service." Members intend to keep delivering food to those who need it most every single month.
