Dibrugarh Officials Seal Illegal Firecracker Warehouse

Guwahati: Dibrugarh district officials shuttered a firecracker warehouse on Wednesday. The site sits in Master Para within Notun Bazar. Owner Khagen Bania lost access to the storage facility after authorities found he lacked a valid license. The raid is part of a larger, aggressive push to stop the illegal sale and storage of fireworks throughout the city.

Additional Commissioner Pranjal Baruah led the inspection team. They combed through local commercial hubs to root out traders ignoring safety standards or operating without proper documentation. Officials stated that they have "initiated action against traders found operating without the necessary licences or failing to comply with the prescribed norms."

The administration remains focused on safety. They intend to stop any unauthorized storage that puts the public at risk. Inspections across Dibrugarh markets will continue as the city tightens its grip on licensing requirements.
