Dhing Youth Congress leader resigns following bypoll defeat

Guwahati: Nawaz Sharif quit his role as president of the Dhing Block Youth Congress Committee. He handed his resignation letter directly to the Assam Pradesh Youth Congress Committee following the party’s dismal performance in the recent by-election.

Sharif holds onto his party membership. He intends to stay active despite stepping away from his leadership post. The move marks a sudden shift for the Dhing Congress unit.

New blood must take charge. Sharif explained his departure by saying, "I wanted new people to get an opportunity to take up responsibilities within the organisation."
