Cylinder Explosion Leaves Two Injured and Homes Destroyed in Assam

Guwahati: A gas cylinder exploded at a home in Leruarmukh village, Morigaon district, Assam, sparking a fierce fire. The blast occurred at a residence belonging to four brothers, including Abdul Kadir. The fire moved fast. It tore through the structure, gutting the entire property.

The blaze incinerated household goods, a large supply of jute, and critical paperwork. The four families lost everything. Two people suffered severe injuries during the event. Medics rushed them to Mairabari hospital for emergency treatment.

Firefighters and emergency crews arrived at the Bhelouguri Police Station jurisdiction to battle the flames. Local neighbors helped the teams fight the fire until it was finally under control. The aftermath is brutal. The surviving families now have no shelter and are forced to stay in the open as authorities work to calculate the total cost of the damage.
