Fire Destroys Morigaon Aadhaar Enrolment Centre

Guwahati: A fire ripped through an Aadhaar enrolment centre in Assam early October 19. The blaze erupted around 3 am inside the Morigaon Revenue Circle Officer's office. Equipment is gone. Fire and emergency crews rushed to the scene to fight the flames.

They brought the fire under control, but the damage is absolute. Machines used for enrolment and office materials were gutted. Officials are still looking for answers. Investigators suspect an electrical short circuit caused the fire, though they have not officially confirmed it. Residents remain worried about the disruption of essential services.
