Guwahati: LPG agencies in Assam’s Morigaon district are drawing a line in the sand. Domestic consumers must finish their Aadhaar-based e-KYC verification by August 16. Missing this date carries a stiff price. You could lose your subsidy and pay more for every cylinder.

Gas agency representatives issued the warning Thursday at the Morigaon Journalists’ Association auditorium. They stated that this government mandate is non-negotiable. “Consumers who fail to complete the e-KYC process by August 16 could lose access to applicable LPG subsidies and may be required to pay additional charges while purchasing cylinders,” agency officials explained.

The clock is ticking. Officials urged residents to contact their local distributors immediately. Ensure your Aadhaar details match your account records. Inaccurate data creates booking headaches and purchase delays. Do not wait until the final hour to get verified.
