Guwahati: Domestic LPG users in Assam must finish their Aadhaar-based electronic Know Your Customer verification by August 16. Oil Marketing Companies demand this step to keep subsidy payments flowing. If you miss the date, you pay the full commercial price. Do not gamble on the deadline.
The mandate aims to clean up beneficiary rolls and stop subsidy fraud. OMCs want to dump duplicate or fake connections. Authorities confirmed the goal is to ensure only genuine domestic users get the cut-price gas. Officials stated, "Consumers who do not complete the verification by the stipulated deadline risk losing access to subsidised LPG refills."
Head to your local distributor with your Aadhaar card and consumer papers to get it done. You can also use official mobile apps like IndianOil ONE for Indane, HP Pay for HP Gas, or the Bharatgas app. These platforms use biometrics or face scans for the check. Get it done early to avoid a headache at the refill counter.
