Charis High Academy Student Claims Top Honors at Youth Parliament Competition

Kohima: Cyndina Thonglaru, a Class 10 student at Charis High Academy, earned the title of Best Debater during the Young Indians Parliament Competition on June 19. The event took place at Norman Putsure College and was organized by Young Indians under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The competition focused on the theme of Tourism Led Economic Development and saw 59 participants from six local schools. These institutions included North Town Higher Secondary School, Pilgrim Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Greenwood Higher Secondary School, and Hebron Higher Secondary School.

Following the debate, school officials confirmed that Thonglaru and her fellow classmate Kechyeyhun Chiesotsu were selected to represent Charis High Academy at the next stage of the event. The regional competition is scheduled to take place in Guwahati. The school administration officially stated they "congratulated both students for their outstanding performance and extended best wishes" as the pair prepares for their upcoming challenge.
