Chakhro Angami Kuda Union Elects New Leadership for 2026 to 2028

Kohima: The Chakhro Angami Kuda Union appointed a fresh team of office bearers for the 2026 to 2028 term during a general meeting and induction ceremony at Phevima Village in Dimapur. Virhi Keretsü will lead the organization as president.

The leadership team includes vice presidents Vikie Nagi and Atho o Dzüvichü. Mhashevikho Zao serves as general secretary, with Rukusuto Ltu acting as assistant general secretary. Rounding out the executive group, Kenny Nakhro was named information and publicity secretary, while Kevin Whuorie will manage the accounts as treasurer.

The event featured an invocation by SABC associate pastor Keneileto Sophie and official reports from outgoing president Rovisielie Nakhro, general secretary Virhi Keretsü, and audit convenor Ketoulelie Nagi. Nomination committee convenor Thejangulie Kire announced the new team, which received a dedicatory prayer from Mhalevi Zhotso, the pastor of CRC Phevima.

Looking ahead, the newly elected president emphasized the organization's focus. Virhi Keretsü stated he is committed to work collectively for the welfare and progress of the community during the new tenure. The gathering concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Teiso Solo.
